Monday mornings are the worst, but weekday mornings could use improvement across the board.

1. Plan your outfits for the whole week

One of the tasks that suck the most time out of every morning is deciding what to wear. You can do all the shopping in the world but still have nothing to wear when you open the closet doors in the morning.

That’s why one of the best morning organization hacks is to spend time on the weekends planning your outfit for each day (and for the kids, too). Hang your clothes on hanger in a dedicated section of your closet, so all you have to do is grab and go. Check the weather first!

2. Prep your caffeine fix

Need we remind you about the early hours’ mind haze? You most likely cannot properly think and function before coffee.

But getting out of bed to groggily scoop coffee beans isn’t the best start to the morning. Get a programmable coffee maker or an outlet that can connect to your phone so your morning cup of joe will brew before you’ve even opened an eye.

3. Make the most of meal prep

Whether you’re packing lunch for one or you’ve got a whole family to feed, meal planning is easier when you have all the things you need in one place. Plan what you’ll eat the next day, and prep the food and pack it all together.

Pack your lunch the night before and stick it in the fridge. The hard part will be remembering to grab it on your way out the door (hint: keep your keys with your lunch in the fridge so you’ll never forget it!)
